Some companies may not be as flexible as others, but will you be able to shut off after you are scheduled to stop? There will need to be work life balance that you will have to enforce if you are a remote employee. Will you be able to balance the time you work and “shut off”?

Companies now days are promoting standing desk risers, ergo smart workstations and chairs. It is something important to consider just like you would in an office. You may want to consider investing in a standing desk converters, or a sit-stand desk riser. Companies like Flexispot specialize in these products so you can ensure your taking care of yourself while working.

This could be a challenge while working on special projects or being in different time zones and not able to connect when a deadline is approaching. Also, the “water cooler” talk that helps employees build up relationships with their peers. You can still achieve positive relationships with peers at work, it just may take a bit more effort like having regular phone call check ins, or video streams if its available.
